A

ACCOMMODATION
ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION
  • Accessible facilities are available onsite and within the Gold Pass enclosure.
  • Car park attendants will direct patrons with accessibility requirements to the closest car park bays to entry gates; this is only for accredited state disabled permit pass holders.
  • Patrons with accessibility requirements DO NOT receive a discount on General Admission or Gold Pass tickets.
  • Holders of a Companion Card receive a complimentary ticket.
AIRCRAFT
  • A list of aircraft attending the event will be on our website as they are confirmed.
AIRLINE
  • The following domestic airline operates out of Avalon Airport:
ALCOHOL
  • No alcohol can be brought onto the Airshow site.
ANIMALS & PETS
  • Animals and birds will not be admitted to the Event site or carparks except guide dogs being used by blind, deaf or otherwise disabled persons.

BABY CARE FACILITIES
  • A nursing parents and baby care area will be available onsite.
BANK ONSITE
  • Automatic Teller Machines (ATM's) will be available onsite.
BICYCLES
  • Bicycles, scooters, golf carts and items of personal conveyance (other than wheelchairs and motorised scooters for use by disabled persons) are not permitted on the Airshow site.
BUS
  • There is no direct bus to the Avalon Airshow site. Patrons can utilise the Sky Bus Service from Southern Cross Station to the Avalon Airport Jetstar Terminal. A free shuttle bus runs from the Jetstar Terminal at Avalon to the Airshow Main Entrance. Further information on Sky Bus and the timetables are available on www.skybus.com.au

  • A variety of food outlets will be available throughout the Airshow site.
CAMERAS & VIDEO
  • Cameras and video equipment are allowed onsite.
CAMP SITE

  • The Campsite is open to Volunteers from Friday 19 November until Monday 29 November
  • The Campsite is open to the General Public from Thursday 25 November until Monday 29 November
  • The per person, per day cost: TBC
  • The campsite is in Lara and is approximately 7km to the Airshow site
  • No generators are permitted to be used at the Campsite.
  • Camping regulations apply.
  • A free Airshow campsite shuttle bus service (for campers only) will operate on a regular basis from the campsite to the Airshow site.
  • The campsite is equipped with showers and toilets.
  • All enquiries and bookings are to be made via this website.

CHAIRS
  • Patrons are permitted to bring folding chairs onto the Airshow site.

EXHIBITION HALLS
  • Australian International Airshow hosts an extensive exhibition of aviation, defence & aerospace products which is available to view on the public days. In 2019, the Airshow hosted 698 exhibitors from 37 countries.
  • Exhibition halls open: Tuesday 23 November to Sunday 28 November from 9.00am - 5.00pm.
  • Exhibition halls open to industry professionals and trade visitors only on Tuesday 23 November to Friday 26 November at 2.00pm.
  • Exhibition halls open to the general public Friday 26 November from 2.00pm – 5.00pm.
  • Exhibition halls open to the general public Saturday 27 November & Sunday 28 November from 9.00am – 5.00pm.
  • Gold Pass holders on Friday 26 November can enter from 9.00am – 5.00pm (Gold Pass holders under 16 years of age cannot enter the expo pavilion until 2.00pm).
  • Expo is NOT open for the Night Alight Show on Friday 26 November, the exhibition halls close at 5.00 pm.
  • Expo open to industry professionals and trade visitors only from Tuesday 23 November to Friday 26 November to 2.00 pm.

FIRST AID
  • First Aid will be provided on site by St Johns Ambulance.
FLYING DISPLAY
  • Our flying display will feature commercial, military, recreational and sporting aircraft from around the world. Flying display schedule will be available on the website just prior to the Airshow commencing.

FOOD & DRINK
  • A variety of food outlets will be available throughout the Airshow site. Bringing your own food and non-alcoholic beverages is permitted.

  • Hats and sunscreen are recommended as grandstands ARE NOT undercover.
GOLF BUGGIES
  • Golf buggy hire is available only to exhibiting companies.
  • Patrons are not permitted to bring their own.

SENIOR CITIZENS
  • Rest facilities are available onsite.
SENIOR CARD HOLDER
  • Seniors Card holders do not qualify for a concession ticket.
  • Concession tickets are only available with a Pension Card.
SHUTTLE BUS
  • A public transport shuttle bus service is available from the Lara Train station to the Airshow site. If you hold a shuttle bus/train ticket (integrated ticket), the bus service is included, and if you do not then a fee will be applicable.
  • The Airshow shuttle bus service will operate from the campsite to the Airshow site for campers and is free.
  • The Airshow shuttle bus service is free from Avalon East to the Airshow.
  • The Airshow shuttle bus service is free from Avalon Terminal to the Airshow.
STUDENTS
  • Concessions apply to Student Cards upon presentation of a valid student card.

TAXIS
  • A taxi ramp is available at the Avalon Airport Terminal. From the Terminal there is an Airshow shuttle bus which will transport passengers to the Airshow entrance and return back to Avalon Airport Terminal.
TICKETS
  • Ticketmaster are our sole ticket agent for AIRSHOW 2021. However, tickets are currently NOT on sale. More information to come.
TRADE DAYS
  • Tuesday 23 November to Friday 26 November to 2.00pm are Trade Days and are strictly reserved for accredited industry visitors over 16 years of age.

  • A free Airshow campsite shuttle bus service (for campers only) will operate on a regular basis from the campsite to the Airshow site
  • There is a free Airshow shuttle bus service from Avalon Airport Terminal to the Airshow entrance and return back to Avalon Airport Terminal

 

Sky Bus

  • From Melbourne:
    There is no direct bus to the Airshow site from Melbourne CBD, patrons can utilise the Sky Bus Service from Southern Cross Station to the Avalon Airport Jetstar Terminal. A free shuttle bus runs from the Jetstar Terminal at Avalon to the Airshow Main Entrance. Further information on Sky Bus and the timetables are available on www.skybus.com.au

  • From Tullamarine Airport:
    This journey requires a bus to Melbourne Southern Cross Station (www.skybus.com.au) from there you can either catch a train to Lara Station on the Geelong Line OR take another Sky Bus service to the Avalon Airport Jetstar Terminal. A free shuttle bus runs from the Jetstar Terminal at Avalon to the Airshow Main Entrance. Further information on Sky Bus and the timetables are available on www.skybus.com.au

 

Taxis
